Workshop Policy

  1. Government ID Required at Check-In.
  2. All attendees must be 21 and older.
  3. Never use the shop alone. Use during shop supervision hours.
  4. DO NOT perform a task you are uncomfortable with.  Talk to shop supervisor for guidance.
  5. Workshop attendees must wear and supply their own safety shoes, eye protection and gloves:
  6. Closed toed shoes are required.
  7. Eye protection is required when construction is taking place in the shop
  8. Secure all loose clothing and long hair.  Loose hair must be tied back or covered to keep away from entanglement.
  9. Dust masks and earplugs should purchased at your discretion.
  10. Long Pants are recommended.
  11. Hoodies are prohibited in the workshop due to safety purposes.
  12. No toxic fumes inside the shop. 
  13. Maintain a clean work area. 
  14. Call 911 in the case of any emergency.  Report injuries to shop supervisor.
  15. Do not leave projects and property in the workshop.

Workshop Rules


  1. Ensure shop is clean before beginning work.
  2. Clean up after yourselves. 
  3. No food or liquid in the workshop.
  4. Brooms and shop-vac are provided if needed.
  5. Do not remove any tools or equipment from the shop.
  6. Refer to Shop Safety Rules & Policy to avoid injuries. But, in case of injuries:
  7. First aid kit is available in the workshop space.
  8. If debris gets in eyes, wash thoroughly in eye wash station for at least 15 minutes. If problem persists get professional help.
  9. Call 911 in the case of a serious injury.
  10. Keep walkways and workspaces stable and clear.  No extension cords across walkways, or tools balanced precariously on the edge of tables or shelves
  11. Use tools and machines only for their intended purpose. If unsure, ask.
